The Diagonal is devoted to cross-cutting analysis of global health and development, which means we like thinking about big issues from a variety of angles. Our roots lie in UCL’s Institute for Global Health, where our founders – Jessica Falk and Emily Loud – and many of our initial contributors met.
Over the course of 2015 we felt that high level discussions about the future of the world’s health and wealth lacked openness and accessibility. The Diagonal is our response to this. Hosting a range of perspectives from global health advocates, our aim is to help start important conversations in which a wider range of people can participate.
We share posts from both regular and guest contributors, focusing on the latest essential developments in their favourite areas, from communicable diseases to global health governance to humanitarianism and beyond.
